The car of choice for 1970s executives, the Jaguar XJ6 has now achieved classic status and values are increasing. The Series Two was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 13 September 1973 and four days later this 'green sand' car was sold to a Sheffield businessman by the city's Jaguar dealer, Hatfields.

In 1990 it was returned to the dealership and featured in Nigel Thorley's book, 'Jaguar XJ The Complete Companion' as a mint condition example. The XJ6 then had two more owners before ending up on a used car lot in Norfolk.

Repairs and improvements have been carried out by IK Classics to make it ready for self drive or chauffeured hire and the car also does duty collecting customers and their luggage from railway stations and taking them between Ash House and IK Classics' premises in nearby Jackson Bridge.
