Try our E Types- a convertible or fixed head coupe, both S2 4.2L with the improved braking and seating of these mid production models. Surprisingly sophisticated levels of comfort in the ride but also very precise and nimble handling, combined with exciting performance and a glorious noise result in very happy occupants. For a taste of the German competion from the era, 2 cars that are still in production today 50 years since their introduction: Porsche 911 and BMW 2002. The BMW 02 series was the forerunner to the 3 series. Both our cars are TARGA top, although Porsche claimed TARGA for their own use. More modern in design and efficiency, these cars also competed with each other in motorsport throughout the 70s. Our 911 is the E version, with mechanical fuel injection and 2.4L air cooled motor. 1973 was the last year of the "classic" Porsche 911s, the following year Californian legislation forced the fitting of impact bumpers. The 02 is also a targa top, with room for small adults in the rear. An ideal car for touring with a large and practical boot, but upgraded with twin weber carbs and sportier camshaft, great fun to drive with the option of full convertible, targa top off only, or fully enclosed. We also have available MGB GTs and Roadsters, and later in year an Alfa Romeo 1300 GT Junior currently being restored.
